The Style Session
Two things before we meet. One is a worksheet you can fill in over a week, a bit at a time. The other is four questions that take about ten minutes.
Together they mean we spend our three hours on you rather than on paperwork. There are no wrong answers on this page. Nothing here is a test and nothing you write will be judged. It is just so I arrive knowing what matters to you.
One worksheet, and the honest answer on time is thirty to forty five minutes. It maps out where your clothes actually have to work: the job, the school run, the weekends, the things you go to and the things you avoid because you have nothing to wear to them.
You do not have to do it in one sitting. Most people fill it in over a week, a section at a time, as things occur to them. That is genuinely the better way to do it, because you notice more.
It is the single thing that saves us the most time on the day, and it is the reason we get to spend the session on you rather than on background.
Have it ready for our session, or email it back to me beforehand. Either is fine.
Four of them, about ten minutes. Answer them here and they come straight to me.
Three things, and none of them are hard.
Wear it, or have it out ready. It does not need to be smart or new. It is the outfit you feel most like yourself in, and we build the first part of the session around working out why it works.
Somewhere with decent natural light if you have it. Most of the session happens in front of it, so it is worth thinking about which one before I arrive.
As much of it as you managed. If it did not happen at all, come anyway and we will do it together at the start. It is not a hurdle you have to clear before you are allowed to turn up.
No tidying. I have seen every kind of wardrobe there is and I am not coming to judge yours. You do not need to shop beforehand, clear anything out, or have a plan.
If anything on this page is unclear, or something has come up, just email me. I would much rather hear from you than have you worrying about it.
See you soon.
